Trans Siberian railway

We’re off 6 days on one of the most iconic rail trips in the world , Beijing main station was chaos hundreds of people trying to fight their way through the security, armed with vodka we board the train . Cosy warm cabin , then it’s off to the bar to check out our fellow passengers , afternoon beer rolled into dinner & more beer/wine . Dennis from U.K. & Phil from Adelaide were with us until we reached Ulaanbaatar in Mongolian where they were off to stay in a yurt . That left Steve from Albany in upstate New York & his grandson Chris who now lives in Saigon as our neighbors . Plus a mad Irish couple Rory & Evan who we drank the bar dry everyday to the point we had to b y o as they kept running out , we now have an invite to castlebar rugby club on the west coast of Ireland . As it is winter the 6 of us had the restaurant car to ourselves, the train was nearly empty. The scenery was outstanding, from forests as far as the eye could see to frozen rivers / lakes , camels, wolves, ice fishing , Mongolian horsemen. A thanks to our fellow travelers it made the trip go so quick in great company  .DSC_0161 DSC_0187 DSC_0234 DSC_0368 DSC_0312 DSC_0313 DSC_0316 DSC_0328 DSC_0417 DSC_0391
